Letter: Arizona Needs Help With Its Illegal Immigration Problem

(This letter is in response to a column entitled “Frustrated With Broken Immigration System? Arizona Law Isn’t the Answer” in the June 18, 2010 issue of the Levittown Tribune.)

Once again I must pick up my pen and respond to an article of Maryann Sinclair Slutsky in regard to her recent column in your paper on June 18.

Everyone agrees that immigration needs fixing but all Ms. Slutsky advises is to boycott Arizona.

On the news tonight, Attorney General Eric Holder said he is bringing a lawsuit against Arizona to challenge their immigration law.

Arizona is overrun with illegal immigrants, their schools are crowded, their people are being kidnapped and they are close to bankruptcy.

Arizona has asked the government for help; that didn’t happen. This is how they help? We should boycott them? Let’s help our neighbors.
