Puff Daddy, Puffy, P. Diddy, Puff, Diddy…and now…Swag?

Either Sean Combs has a problem with his real name, or he just really likes to confuse a lot of people.  But the rapper, record producer, actor and fashion designer, now has a new name.

Combs announced in video on YouTube, titled: CALL ME SWAG, that he is changing his name.

Standing with a group of friends during a party, the man formerly known as Puff Daddy steps in front of a camera and said: For this week only, “My new name is Swag.”

Combs, oops, I mean Swag also created a new Twitter account called: iamswag, and in less than 24 hours his followers grew to over 8,000.

In his first tweet, Combs says: “Allow me to reintroduce myself- I AM SWAG.”

It is unclear if he will have a new name next week, but Swags’ different names have been a source of jokes for years.

In his own music video for the song “Bad Boys for Life”–where Combs moves into a suburban neighborhood–the actor Ben Stiller rings the door bell and is confused what to call the rapper.

“Hey how you doing Puffy or Diddy, P. Papa, Papa Diddy Pap? I don’t know what you’re calling yourself these days,” says Stiller.

Stiller finally settles on: “Mr. Daddy.”

Swag, of course is used in all walks of life: after a baseball player hits a home run and trots around the bases, after a jump shot in a basketball game, how somebody dresses, and now the way Combs presents himself.

Combs just recently appeared in the movie “Get Him to the Greek” starring Russell Brand.

The New York native established “Bad Boys Records,” in the ‘90s, where he became good friends with Notorious B.I.G.

And in 1998 he created his clothing line—Sean John.
