Scotty McCreery (Baby lock the doors and turn the lights down low…) has won American Idol and Lauren Alaina is the runner up. That’s two country kids, two 16-year-old country kids, in the top spots on American Idol this season.
The Idol finale show for season 10 was filled with performances from artists from Lady Gaga and Beyonce to Judas Priest and Carrie Underwood.
James Durbin came back to the stage to perform with Judas Priest and Lauren Alaina sang with her idol Carrie Underwood.
Lady Gaga took the stage by herself, jumped off a cliff…literally…and sang her latest song “Edge of Glory.”
And it looks like Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina may be more than friends. The two kissed after Scotty was named the new American Idol and he said to her “I love you, baby.”
“It’s been a year since me and Lauren Alaina tried out now,” Scotty told Ryan Seacrest when he asked the new American Idol what he was feeling that moment. “Me and her have been together since day one and we’re going to stay together.”
The top 11 Season 10 American Idols will be coming to Nassau Coliseum on August 23 as part of their summer tour.
That means Casey Abrams, Haley Reinhart, Jacob Lusk, James Durbin, Lauren Alaina, Naima Adedapo, Paul McDonald, Pia Toscano, Stefano Langone, Thia Megia and your new American Idol Scotty McCreery will be coming to Long Island.
