LeAnn Rimes is back to defending her weight, this time on her honeymoon.
It started with a Twitter picture…again.
Country singer LeAnn Rimes is off honeymooning with new hubby Eddie Cibrian on a beach somewhere, and decides to post a picture of herself in a blue bikini on Twitter.
There were a few different reactions: LeAnn looks way too thin and is irresponsible posting a picture of herself with bones showing, she is way too thin and just posting that
picture to get even more attention from the media and public because of her weight, she looks great!, and it doesn’t matter, stop hating on the girl. That pretty much sums it up. But the biggest reaction has been the first and second.
Rimes who does look noticeably thinner than she has in the past in the picture, says she is just lean and perfectly healthy.
It all started when one fan wrote seemingly innocently, “Whoa, you’re scary skinny! Sorry don’t mean to offend but that’s a lot of bones showing through skin…”
Rimes responded, “Those are called abs not bones love.”
And, after others threw in their two cents, Rymes continued, “thx but this is my body and I can promise you I’m a healthy girl. I’m just lean. Thx for your concern but no need too be.”
Perez Hilton, who has been noticeably kinder to the celebrities he usually taunts lately surprisingly defended Rimes’ look.
But one reader commented, “I don’t see abs or any kind of muscle. I see some bones. I do find it amusing to watch her constantly post these pictures of herself…nothing says you have an issue with your weight like posting your body shots all over the web so people will comment on them; and then you can ‘defend’ how healthy you are.”
Rimes’ weight has been a much talked about issue over the past year, mainly because she hasn’t always been as thin as she is now, leading many people to assume she’s doing something drastic and her body being what she calls “lean” isn’t natural for her.
And Rimes has taken to Twitter to defend her body in the past saying, “”I don’t care about the dumb articles. I know how healthy I am. Maybe those people should start taking care of themselves…inside and out.”
Rimes also told Shape Magazine just a few months ago, “Going to the gym and punching out some of my aggression on a pair of mitts has been a lifesaver. Sometimes I felt so depressed I didn’t want to get out of bed, so just getting to the gym—even for a few minutes—was a big accomplishment.”
Another fan had tweeted to Rimes, “Im not judging you I dont think it is right, but for someone who had a eating disorder, isnt this bad for girls who look up 2 u.”
Rimes answered, “that I take care of myself, eat what I want without putting crap into my body and am at a healthy weight, no.”
And there you have it.
Either way, what do you think of LeAnn’s new bikini bod?
