Get ready for another action packed battle between the decepticons and autobots because “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” opens on IMAX screens Tuesday at 9 p.m.

The third installment of the “Transformers” series will look to top the $836 million the movie grossed worldwide in 2009 by “Revenge of the Fallen.”

Of course, Megan Fox won’t be coming along for the ride, but much of the original cast is still in tact, including star Shia LaBeouf, who returns as Sam Witwicky, joining his robot friends on another mission to save the planet.

Replacing Fox, and making her big screen debut is Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, a British-born Victoria Secret model, who was chosen over 500 other women to play LaBeouf’s new love interest.

Huntington-Whiteley’s recent television appearances haven’t included any acting either. She has been a guest on some late night shows to promote her new movie, and has been involved in “The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show,” in the past, but nothing as big as the summer’s most anticipated movie.

With the movie’s debut only hours away, critics already have given us their reviews, and many of them agree that the movie will provide some fun and excitement, but that might be all fans get out of Bay’s third “Transformers” film.

Roger Moore of the Orlando Sentinel writes: “The funniest, best-executed film in the talking, bleeding, Earth-protecting robots-that-look-like-cars-and-trucks series, “Moon” delivers the popcorn in gigantic fist-fulls of fun.”

A review from the Arizona Republic says the movie is an upgrade over “Revenge of the Fallen,” but that might not inspire moviegoers to pay the price to watch robots battle each other in 3D.

“Too long, too dumb and too loud, “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” is at least an improvement on its immediate predecessor,” the Arizona Republic writes.

The first “Transformers” film hit theaters in 2007, pushing LaBeouf and Fox to stardom.  “Transformers” grossed over $709 million worldwide.
