Actress and model, Denise Richards is now a mother of three. The 40-year-old star recently adopted a newborn girl according to People.com.

Richards is said to have named her new daughter after a family member.

“Eloise Joni Richards is named after Denise’s mom (Joni),” said her representative. “Denise and her daughters Sami and Lola chose the name Eloise.”

Richard’s two daughters Lola, 6, and Sami, 7, are with her ex-husband Charlie Sheen.

The birth mother of the infant is unknown. What is known is that the baby girl was born domestically and that the birth mother was also a resident of the U.S. according to People.com.

Richard’s representative said that the family is pleased with their newest addition. “Denise and Eloise’s big sisters couldn’t be happier and feel incredibly blessed.”

Richards didn’t acknowledge the adoption at first stating on her Twitter page, “Good morning. Having my coffee before girls get up and off to decamp. Pilates this am, took a few weeks off. Need to get back!”

Today she announced on her over two million followers on Twitter today that she is thankful for all of her fans warm wishes. “Thank you all for the sweet messages. The girls and I are over the moon and so is my dad, Grandpa Irv…xo.”

Richards is best known for starring in a string of films in the 1998 film, Wild Things. In recent years she had a reality show called Denise Richards: It’s Complicated on E! for two seasons before it was cancelled. According to OK magazine, Richards is currently working on promoting her tell-all memoir about her life and divorce with Sheen in the spotlight called “The Real Girl Next Door.”

“I went through a lot and I get asked a lot of questions about that time in my life so I figured that I would share my story and hopefully, anyone that is dealing with challenges will know that there is light at the end of the tunnel,” said Richards to OK magazine.

The actress even touched on how her families fame has altered her two oldest childrens life saying, “They are in kindergarden and first grade so, so far they’re okay, but I don’t know because that could change as kids get older and more aware.”

“The Real Girl Next Door” will be released in stores on July 26.
