Nick And Vanessa Wed!
In what seems like a lengthy Hollywood courtship, Nick Lachey, 37, and Vanessa Minnillo, 30, have finally made it official. The two wed on July 15 in a quiet ceremony on an exotic Caribbean island.
“Not exactly Will and Kate, but they are our pop culture royalty,” said a host as she introduced the preview (check out the video).
The two had been dating five years and to celebrate their special day, teamed up with TLC to televise their nuptials. “Nick and Vanessa’s Dream Wedding,” aired last night from 9-11 on TLC.
The two wed during a four-day celebration among some 35 guests. Minnillo walked down the aisle in a beautiful Monique Lhuillier gown. According to People, the moment Lachey, 37, saw his bride for the first time was a moment he’ll never forget, he said. “It literally took my breath away.”
Jen Garcia of People Magazine said, “We see celebrity weddings all the time but this one was a happily ever after.”
ABC reminded that America knows Lachey from his boy band days as the front man for 98 Degrees and also for his famous first marriage to Jessica Simpson in 2002. Does anyone recall MTV reality series “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica?” The marriage was short lived and the couple called it quits in 2006.
Soon after Lachey’s divorce, he met MTV host, Vanessa Minnillo on the set for his song “What’s Left of Me.”
