Billionaire George Soros is being sued for $50 million by his ex-girlfriend Adriana Ferreyr because he reportedly didn’t follow through on promised apartments.
Ferreyr, 28, is suing her ex in New York Supreme Court in Manhattan saying that he never went through with his promised apartment, which caused her emotional distress.
According to the New York Times, she invested months of looking for a place, hired brokers and designers to help her only to be let down when Soros told her that his new lady had taken up residence in her promised apartment during a break in their relationship.
After Soros broke the news to Adriana, a fight ensued and resulted in her allegedly being slapped and choked– She claimed that Soros even threw a lamp at her.
Soros’ lawyer said the suit was “frivolous and entirely without merit.” He stated that the couple had an on and off relationship that was never exclusive.
The two met in 2006 in the Hamptons. Soros invited Ferreyr to meet for tea and began seeing eachother in 2007.
