Levittown Tigers Win 9U Summer Bash Tournament

Levittown West Little League recently hosted the first 9U Summer Bash Baseball Tournament that took place at Redwing Park. The tough competition included Central Nassau Little League, Levittown North Little League, Levittown West Little League and the Long Island Chargers, an independent Travel Team.

After round robin play, the Levittown West Tigers were seeded #1 with a 3–0 record, entering the championship game undefeated to play the #2 seeded Long Island Chargers.

Behind terrific pitching by Robert Bradley, Anthony Siemsen and Myles Scarry, the Tigers exhibited a strong defense, holding the LI Chargers to five runs. The Tigers scored runs with timely and explosive hitting throughout the lineup, coupled with smart and aggressive base running by all players. When the ball fielddust settled the Tigers energy proved to be too much for the skilled and well coached LI Chargers, winning the Championship game with a final score of 8–5.
