‘Real Housewives’ Tweet About Armstrong Suicide : Bravo Issues Statement About Armstrong Suicide

According to TMZ, Russell Armstrong, husband of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, Taylor Armstrong, was found dead late Monday night.

Armstrong, 47, reportedly hanged himself and was found in his bedroom in a home on Mulholland Drive, California by a roommate. Officials arrived on the scene and pronounced Armstrong dead at 8:16 p.m. Monday.

The death is an apparent suicide.

According to the Associated Press, Russell Armstrong was an investment banker and venture capitalist and was sued last month for $1.5 million by a company claiming he and his estranged wife diverted money from investors to promote their lavish lifestyle.

Armstrong’s estranged wife, Taylor, filed for divorce just last month. but according to the Associated Press, he had not responded to the petition.

Taylor is featured on the Bravo TV show “Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills.” She stars alongside Kim Richards, Camille Grammar, Adrienne Maloof, Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump.

Last season, the Armstrong’s marriage hit a rough patch, which was displayed for all the United States to see. Taylor questioned her marriage but by the show’s reunion episode, the two had seemed to patch things up.

Season 2 starts this September and in the trailer, Taylor is seen breaking down. In one scene she even says, “I feel like I’m breaking” as she wipes tears from her face.

Today, after news broke of Russell’s death, the women of the “Real Housewives” cast offered their condolences on Twitter.

Camille Grammer tweeted,” My sympathy and condolences go out to Taylor and Kennedy. My thoughts and prayers are with them.”

Adrienne Maloof tweeted, “My heart goes out to Taylor Armstrong and Kennedy during this devastating time. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.”

Bravo issued a statement also via Twitter, “All of us at Bravo are deeply saddened by this tragic news. Our sympathy and thoughts are with the Armstrong family at this difficult time.”
