Since the hit reality show, Dancing with the Stars, ended its twelfth this past May with NFL player Hines Ward and his professional dancing partner Kym Johnson crowned winners, the shows staff has been hard at work recruiting a new cast– But word is the cast isn’t the only thing that will be changing this season.

TMZ reports that Dancing with the Stars received a massive summer make-over, one that cost a reported $3 million.

The gossip site reported that the set will be completely different with the live audience especially enjoying the fruits of the studio’s labor on a new triple-tiered balcony arrangement.

The stage will reportedly feature a staircase in the middle and will be able to split in half, revealing the orchestra pit. The dance floor is another part of the set that is rumored to have been upgraded, the floor will no longer be just a ground level empty space with hardwood planks but rather it will be on an elevated platform.

ABC is reportedly trying to upgrading the set but also the cast. The show is rumored to be seeking a higher caliber of celebrities moving from C-list to A-list. Reported recruits are rumored to include one of the Jonas brothers, Lindsay Lohan and Queen Latifah.

Although the quality of stars is up for a change, rumors of some cast members tell us otherwise.  Rumor has it Snooki, of the Jersey Shore, may be a contestant as well as Khloe and Rob Kardashian of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

The final cast will be announced on August 29 during an episode of Bachelor Pad.

Season 13 of the show will premiere Monday, September 19 at 8 p.m.
