Susan Boyle debuted a new song on “America’s Got Talent” last night.
Last night, Boyle debuted her new song, “You Have To Be There,” on the “America’s Got Talent” stage. The song was reportedly written by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus and comes from their popular Swedish musical Kristina.Additionally last night, according to USA Today, Boyle not only revealed a new song but also announced that her third album, To Watch Over Me, will be released November 1.
On Boyle’s website she explains that her return to the studio “heralds a new era of music for the songstress” and that she is “Working closely with producer Steve Mac,” and has “specifically chosen songs that are emotive and reflective in response to the outpouring of life stories from so many people who wrote letters to her from around the globe.”
Her website goes on to state that the album is comprised of songs that will “take you on a journey of self discovery” and “With a variation of tempos, this album will stir the innermost emotions—from the beautiful and light to the dramatic, haunting, and soul searching. Susan again injects her own inimitable style into new material and classics from some of the golden ages of music.”
It was on “Britian’s Got Talent,” in 2009, that the world got it’s first dose of the vocal phenomenon Susan Boyle as she sang “I Dreamed a Dream.”
The Scottish singer, notable for her plain look and not-so-plain voice appeared week after week on “Britian’s Got Talent,” but shocked the world when she ended up as the runner up.
She got her revenge as soon as she released her first album, which debuted at No. 1 on the charts.
A year later, she debuted her second album, “The Gift.” It turned out to be successful but didn’t compare to her debut album’s success.
Check it out.
