Eleanor Mondale Dies At 51

The daughter of the former Vice President, Walter Mondale, died Saturday at 51-years-old of cancer.

Eleanor Mondale, died at her home in Minnesota. She reportedly died of brain cancer complications.

Mondale was diagnosed with brain cancer years ago. She was first diagnosed with brain cancer in 2005—while on a camping trip she suffered two seizures. She underwent treatment but her cancer returned in 2008. And again, she underwent treatment. Although Mondale underwent successful surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, she succumbed to the illness this week.

According to the Associated Press, in an emailed statement, Mondale’s dad and mom wrote that they, “must report that our wonderful daughter, Eleanor Mondale Poling, after her long and gutsy battle against cancer, went up to heaven last night to be with her angel.”

Modale is best known for her appearances as a television personality. She worked for E! Entertainment and ESPN to name a few.

Mondale was married three times. Mondale was first married to NFL player, Keith Van Horne, then to DJ, Greg Malban and finally to musician, Chan Poling.
