What was once an unbelievable rumor, turned out to be true today and was confirmed earlier today by Colorado Springs.
Colorado Springs reported that “Celebrity Wife Swap” producers confirmed that former New Life Church pastor and his wife, Gayle, will appear in the new ABC reality series, and will swap partners with actor Gary Busey and his partner, Steffanie Sampson.
The new shop is based on the British show and hit American show “Wife Swap.”
Haggard and Busey will swap wives for a couple of days as cameras follow them. The first couple of days, the men will make the rules and after that the women take charge.
The show is scheduled to shoot today at the GLBT Pride Center in Colorado Springs.
Haggard is the former paster of New Life Church until he was caught in an affair with a man. He now runs a non-denominational St.James church. According to Huffington Post, Haggard and his wife Gayle have appeared on “Divorce Court,” and featured in a TLC documentary, “Ted Haggard: Scandalous” as well as being featured in a documentary and appearances on other shows including “Oprah.”
The actor, Busey is a born again Christian who has appeared in “Celebrity Apprentice.”
