According to TMZ,  Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humphries this morning after only 72 days of marriage.

Kardashian cited irreconcilable differences as to the reason for the split.

“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” Executive Producer Ryan Seacrest confirmed the divorce on his Twitter.

“Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her, getting a statement in just a few mins,” he tweeted.

Earlier, E! News confirmed the divorce proceedings on their website stating, “The E! reality star is planning to file for divorce from Kris Humphries this morning, a little over two months after she and the basketballer wed.”

E! later released a statement regarding the divorce:

“All of us at E! are surprised and saddened by this news, and we send our support to Kim and Kris at this difficult time. The Kardashians have always been uniquely open with all aspects of their lives from joyous events to intimate moments to heartbreaking transitions. E! will continue to share the fascinating real lives and larger-than-life existence of this close-knit family.”

Reportedly, Kardashian has already hired divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser.

The 30-year-old reality star married the NBA player back in August.

Kardashian wed Humphries, 26, on August 20—the two announced they were engaged back in May—in a wedding ceremony fit for a prince and princess.

Kardashian told People Magazine, who first published Kardashian’s wedding photos, “It was like we were in heaven,” and Humphries added, “I’m going to remember how perfect it was.”

The wedding cost a reported $20 million and was held at a California mansion with 400 of their closest friends and family that included a slew of celebrities.

Kim walked down the aisle donning an ivory Vera Wang gown, the first of three she would wear that day, with a diamond headpiece. Kim’s bridal party sported white gowns, much like the royal wedding this past spring.

The ceremony was televised as a two-part special on E! earlier this month.

The couple is set to make their television debut as a married couple on “Kim & Kourtney Take New York,” November 27. They just released the trailer this past week. Check it out.
