The “Mirror Mirror” trailer went viral this week.
It comes as the latest take on the classic, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.”
Snow White is played by Lily Collins and Julia Roberts plays the evil Queen. Arnie Hammer plays Prince Alcott.
In the movie, Snow White is banished to the woods where she meets the seven dwarfs, who eventually help her reclaim the kingdom.
“Mirror Mirror” is set to hit theaters March 16, 2012.
This particular take on the story of Snow White is going head to head with another take also coming out this year. The second Snow White themed movie is called “Snow White and the Huntsman,” and follows Kristin Stewart as she tries to escape the wrath of the evil Queen played by Charlize Theron.
While both movies follow Snow White, the Prince, and the evil Queen, the two movies are quite different.”Mirror Mirror,” takes on a more comedic feel than “Snow White and the Huntsman,” which takes on a darker feel.
“Snow White and the Huntsman” is a twisted take on the fairy tale, in which the Huntsman is ordered by the evil Queen to take Snow White into the woods to be killed. But in a unlikely twist, he reportedly comes to her aid and winds up helping her in a quest to kill the Queen.
“Snow White and the Huntsman” is set to hit theaters in June.
