Kobe Bryant’s wife filed for divorce after 10 years of marriage to the Los Angeles Lakers star.

In the filing, Vanessa Bryant cited irreconcilable differences, according to reports. The couple has two daughters together.

“The Bryants have resolved all issues incident to their divorce privately with the assistance of counsel and a judgment dissolving their marital status will be entered in 2012,” reads a statement from a representative for the couple, according to the Associated Press.

Vanessa signed the papers on Dec. 1 and Bryant, 33, signed his response on Dec. 7, according to reports. The documents were filed on Friday.

According to TMZ, sources told the entertainment website that Vanessa, 29, believes the NBA star has been cheating again, and “she’s finally had enough.”

The divorce comes after Vanessa stood by her husband’s side when he was charged with sexual assault in 2003. She also was right there with him during an uncomfortable news conference when Bryant admitted to adultery, but not any crime.

He was charged in 2003 with sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman at the Lodge & Spa at Cordillera in Colorado. The charges were later dropped when the woman decided against the trial.

At the time of the incident, people were speculating if that would be the end of their marriage. But the pair remained together, and Bryant famously bought his wife a $4 million diamond ring.

The documents filed by Vanessa state that she is looking for joint legal and physical custody of their two daughters. Bryant did the same.

TMZ also reported that there is no prenup, so Vanessa may walk away with a lot of the money that Bryant has earned during his career in the NBA.
