While we’re all still singing lyrics from Rihanna’s “We Found Love,” she gives an early Christmas gift, a new video. She’s released a new video for her latest hit “You Da One.”
The song was released in earlier weeks and the video was released this Saturday, looking to give fans another hit to hum to—It looks like it’s working, since it hit the Internet, it’s garnered over 3 million views.
“You the one that I dream about all day/ You the one that I think about always,” sings Rihanna as she appears dancing against a life-size playing card while black and white polka dot scenes cut in and out. “You are the one so I make sure I behave/ My love is your love, your love is my love.”
The song comes off of her November album and follows “We Found Love,” that premiered in September. Her sixth album “Talk, Talk, Talk,” was released on November 21. “We Found Love” was the first single released from the album, it was number nine on the US charts reportedly making Rihanna the fastest solo artist in the chart’s history to achieve twenty Hot 100 top-ten singles.
“You Da One” was first released November 11 with the music video still in production, being reportedly shot in London.
In the video, Rihanna sports a blond bob and a fitted gold grill singing “Baby, I love you, I need you here/ Give me all the time/ Baby we meant to be/ You got me, smiling all the time.”
For the past few weeks now the singer has been dropping teasers for the highly-anticipated video. According to MTV, two weeks ago, she released a clip of herself getting fitted for a grill and just a few days ago, she took to Twitter to share another hint, a photo with the tweet, “”#YOUDAONEVIDEO you know im already in trouble 4 this but, i like to keep yall in the loop.”
