Van Halen has just released a new song, building excitement for their new album and tour.
“Tattoo” was just released Tuesday.
A video for the new song was also released and according to StarPulse, features footage used in their Christmas night teaser announcement for their new album “A Different Kind of Truth.”
The song features David Lee Roth’s voice.—The album will be the first with Roth as the lead singer.
“A Different Kind of Truth” is set to be released February 7, the same month that the tour starts.
In December, Van Halen announced plans for a special reunion tour. The group announced plans through a video that was posted to the band’s official site.
The announcement came with another surprise: they would be bringing along a famous friend—The rockers announced they would be reuniting for a tour with former lead singer David Lee Roth.
The video took viewers through black and white shots of the band performing on stage. The video also featured a scrolling red bar with the words “Van Halen on Tour 2012″ along with announcing when the tickets will become available: “First Tickets on Sale January 10.”
The tour is set to include Alex Van Halen, David Roth, Eddie Van Halen, and Eddie’s son, Wolgang.
On Wednesday, as the band is preparing to embark on a February tour, they regrouped and played for a small New York club, Cafe Wa? in West Village.
