A shocking attempted abduction was caught on video recently and has many outraged.
The video shows 7-year-old Brittney Baxter, of Georgia, was walking around a Walmart toy section when a man carries her off in what looks like an attempt to kidnap her.
Baxter’s fight may have saved her life. If it wasn’t for her intense kicking and screaming, who knows what could have happened.
“I was kicking and screaming and then he put his hand over my mouth, but I kept kicking, ” the brave little girl told CBS.
The video shows the man putting Baxter down and running off as the young girl is seen looking back at the man and covering her face.
Andrew Woods, 25, is believed to be the man behind the attempted kidnapping. Woods reportedly just finished a 20-year prison sentence and is believed to be the man caught on surveillance footage attempting to pick up and cover Baxter’s mouth before dropping her and fleeing.
Surveillance footage also caught a car believed to be Wood’s in the parking lot of the Georgia Walmart, which police used to track him down.
Police later arrested Woods and charged him with attempted kidnapping.
Woods, who’s currently on probation, claims he had nothing to do with the attempted kidnapping, reported Huffington Post, saying “I didn’t touch anybody” and “I was never there.”
