The King of Pop would be proud.

Michael Jackson’s nephew, Austin Brown just released his new single, “Menage a trois,” reports AOL Music.

Although Brown has some big shoes to fill when it comes to making it big in the music business, it doesn’t seem like it will be too hard for the son of eldest Jackson family sister Rebbie Jackson.

Luckily for us Austin Brown isn’t riding on anyone’s coat tails: he’s the real deal.

If you listen to the 26-year-old’s track we’re sure you’ll agree.

“Valentine’s Day seemed like the perfect time to debut my new song ‘Menage a Trois,’ which is about a love triangle and what happens when you unexpectedly fall in love with two different women at the same time,” Brown said to AOL Music. “It’s a situation I strongly recommend avoiding if you can help it,” which he shared with a chuckle.

“Musically, the song was influenced by classic Motown and Stax records. We wanted to create a song that channeled the Temptations and the Four Tops with James Jamerson on the bass,” Austin explained. “I wrote and produced the song with my writing partners Scott Bruzenak and Tommy Parker. The three of us refer to ourselves as the Backpack Kids. We all come from different backgrounds and styles,” the singer revealed about his collaborators.

“‘Menage a Trois’ is my first new song of 2012 and I’m really excited to share it with AOL Music fans first,” the singer excitedly shares. “If you dig it, please check out austinbrown.com, there’s gonna be a lot more coming over the course of the next few weeks!”

Austin Brown’s official music video for ‘Menage a Trois” will debut Tuesday night on Entertainment Tonight. Make sure you tune in at 7:30PM EST to check it out!
