Drake, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, and now Limp Bizkit?
The popular 90s rock-rap band recently signed with Cash Money, according to Lil Wayne, who revealed YMCMB’s newest addition in a radio interview with New York’s 98.7 KissFM.
Apparently Lil Wayne become a big fan of Lenny Green who hosts “Kissing After Dark,” while he was in jail, so the rapper called into the show to do a brief interview. After Green asked if Cash Money was looking to sign any R&B artists, Weezy answered by saying Cash Money is “signing everybody” including the popular band that gave the world “Nookie,” “My Way,” and “Break Stuff.”
“Honestly its like every other day I hear about somebody new just signed to Cash Money; not speaking about R&B just like, for example the other day I just found out that Limp Bizkit signed to Cash Money,” the rapper revealed in the radio interview. (Listen here)
But Lil Wayne wasn’t done just yet. After explaining that frontman Fred Durst and the rest of his band got a new deal, he also hinted that Cash Money would also add Ashanti to the roster, saying Cash Money is “working with Ashanti right now.”
Fred Durst then confirmed Lil Wayne’s report by telling his 1.5 million Twitter followers that he did indeed sign with Cash Money.
“The game is missing danger, electricity, and rock n roll!!!!” Cash Money Limp Bizkit,” Durst tweeted.
He then sent out another message through his Twitter account, saying: “Rock sh*t doesn’t rock anymore! They say the whole game done went pop so I’m back.”
