In light of the show, that was four years in the making, Discovery has released an amazing new video. It takes viewers on a shocking journey to the Antarctic ice shelf, where viewers learn what a brinicle, or brine icicle is.
The brinicle is seen plunging toward the seabed from the Antarctic ice shelf above, while starfish move around below not knowing what is coming their way. The brinicle makes its way to the bottom, freezing marine invertebrates in its path and killing everything it touches.
