“Hunger Game” fans can rejoice! The highly anticipated movie, which is already being called the movie of the year, will be in theaters Friday!
If you’re dying to see the big-screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins’s young adult novel, we have some great news for you! We have included an exclusive new clip of Katniss, played by Jennifer Lawrence, and Gale, played by Liam Hemsworth, where they say their goodbyes to each other after the Reaping has taken place.
In the clip, Katniss asks for Gale to take care of her family since she will no longer be able to provide for them while she is participating in The Hunger Games.
“I had a very strong sense when I saw ‘Winter’s Bone’ that Jennifer Lawrence was going to be the right person,” director Gary Ross said to Moviefone when he was talking about his casting process. “And then when I met Jen, I was even more convinced. She just sort of blew me away. So it was an easy decision.”
After watching the clip uou can get an idea of why Lawrence astonished Ross. She was the perfect pick to play Katniss Everdeen. Just as Lawrence has the right amount of strength to play Katniss, Hemsworth has a certain air of nobility and toughness to him which is perfect for the part of Gale.
People who have seen the movie have had nothing bad to say about it. It seems that those who have read the book and those who have only seen the movie agree: it’s awesome.
