We keep our technology in our pockets and pocketbooks but Google is planning to change that. The search engine giant plans on a new way for the masses to carry and use technology: on their faces.

Google is projecting that people will be carrying it on their faces in the near future.  And no, it’s not some cyberchip implanted in your forehead.

It’s called Project Glass and it’s currently in the works. Through Project Glass, Google looks to create eyeglasses that would act as a computer screen, helping you through your day with the latest technology.

“We believe technology should work for you — to be there when you need it and get out of your way when you don’t,” reads Google.com “A team within our Google[x] group started Project Glass to build this kind of technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment.”

Google released a new video that went viral Wednesday promoting the new project and demonstrating its possible capabilities. Viewers are put into the driver’s seat and can see how a day with Google glasses would be. At one point, a wearer approaches a subway but is alerted by the Google technology that the subway service is suspended. The glasses give alternative options: walk or take the bus.

Google also shared photos of the technology in addition the the video that shows different people sporting the innovative pair.

As Google is still in the experimenting stages, they ask for your help too: “What would you like to see from Project Glass?” “We’re sharing this information now because we want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input,” reads the Google website.
