Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and his beauty queen wife Candice Crawford have become parents.
The couple welcomed a baby boy this past week. Reportedly, Crawford delivered an 8-pound and 8-ounce son at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 9.
“Congratulations to Tony Romo, proud papa of Hawkins Crawford Romo, born (Monday) at 5:30pm. 8 lbs 8 oz,” the team confirmed.
She delivered the baby named Hawkins Crawford Romo at a Dallas hospital.
“Hawkins Crawford Romo is now a part of the Dallas Cowboys family,” the rep Rich Dalrymple confirmed in a statement, reported People.
The two announced the pregnancy back in October, following their May wedding. It’s the first child for Romo, 31, and Crawford, 25 who were engaged back in 2010.

Crawford is the sister of Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford, the former Miss Missouri in 2008 and a Dallas sports reporter. Romo, 30, proposed while celebrating Candice’s 24th birthday in Dallas.
The couple started dating in September 2009, shortly after Romo broke up with Jessica Simpson in July 2009.
Simpson is also expecting a baby with her husband, former NFL star Eric Johnson. This past fall, a photo of the singer and fashion mogul surfaced showing a visible baby bump fueling pregnancy rumors. She had also been seen out holding hands with fiancee Eric Johnson while rubbing her bulging belly.
On Halloween, Simpson admitted the pregnancy, posting a photo on Twitter showing Simpson in a “Mummy” costume. “It’s true … I”m going to be a mummy!” She tweeted.
It seems like this is a popular year for celebrity babies, as Simpson’s ex-husband Nick Lachey is also expecting. Lachey is expecting with wife Vanessa Minnillo. The two recently announced the pregnancy on “Live! With Kelly.”
“She started to feel a little different, not quite herself,” Nick explained.”so she went to the store, got a pregnancy test, and it came back positive.”
The 31-year-old is reportedly due in late summer, early fall.
