Gladys Knight got the inevitable boot from “Dancing With The Stars” on Tuesday night.

Though she was entertaining to watch, 67-year-old Gladys can’t exactly compete with opera star Katherine Jenkins, actors William Levy and Jaleel and television journalist Maria Menounos. But some were still sad to see Gladys go after she brought a spunk and sass to the show.

Knight’s clever partner, Tristan McManus, has been tactfully choosing slower paced dances for Gladys to dance to. He would never have picked for Gladys to dance the jive in order to win the judges over.

Even though the theme of this week’s “Dancing With The Stars” show was Motown, producers were somehow unable to find a Motown hit for the celebs to dance to in the group performance. Unfortunately, it did not work out to Gladys’ benefit. Being forced to dance to Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” was not her best performance.

Gladys struggled but was still able to charm the judges. She was visibly tired from the performance and Judge Carri Ann Inaba admitted that it was a hard song to keep up with. Tough judge Len Goodman admitted that he thought she handed the challenge well and Bruno Tonioli said Gladys made it look easy!

When it was announced that Gladys would be leaving the show, Carri Ann, a fan of Gladys, admitted that she would keep her on the show if she were able to save her.

“I am just so amazed at this journey,” said Knight.

“I will probably miss Gladys as much as I miss Ireland when I’m here,” partner Tristan said. “And I really, really miss Ireland.”

Classy as ever, Knight was still a little bitter that she was kicked off the show.

“We are not naive, we know the game and we know what kind of ballpark we are operating in and all those things,” she told Entertainment Weekly.
