Supermodel Linda Evangelista is going to be getting her $46,000 a month wish, The New York Post reports.
In this economy most people are lucky if they make $46,000 a year, let alone receiving $46, 000 a month in child support. But crazy as it may sound, Linda Evangelista is going to be getting her wish.
Billionaire ex-husband Francois-Henri Pinault has decided to appease his money-grubbing baby momma.
Evangelista has claimed she needs the massive loads of dough for her 5-year-old son, Augustin, to pay for nannies, bodyguards, chauffeurs and other expenses.
The supermodel did not have to persuade the courts into granting her such an outrageous amount of money — Pinault essentially gave it to her to avoid testifying in court.
“He has gone a long way toward meeting those original demands,” a source close to the negotiation between Pinault and Evangelista said to the Post.
Pinault, 49, is the CEO of the Paris-based luxury conglomerate that owns Gucci and Yves St. Laurent. He has a 4-year-old daughter, Valentina, with vivacious actress Salma Hayek.
He and Hayek met four months after calling off his relationship with Evangelista in 2006 — right around the same time he learned the model was pregnant, the Post reported. Classy.
Today would have been Evangelista’s second day of testimony, where she would have supposedly revealed Pinault wanted the child aborted and wanted a DNA test at first, damaging his reputation.
“The parties have reached an agreement in principal, which we will present to your honor tomorrow,” Evangelista lawyer William Beslow was quoted as saying Tuesday.
“I agree with what Mr. Beslow says and join in the agreement,” added Pinault’s lawyer, David Aronson.
The exact number Evangelista will be receiving in unknown, but it’s more than likely that it includes five numbers.
