French actress Berenice Marlohe is about to become famous due to her role in the new James Bond flick.
It will be the first time the 33-year-old actress will be appearing in an American film.
Starring in the James Bond film “Skyfall” means she’s joining a long list of famous bond girls, including Ursula Andress, Honor Blackman, Jane Seymour, Kim Basinger, Denise Richards and Halle Berry.
Marlohe is best known for acting on French television shows. For her American debut she will be playing that character Sévérine in “Skyfall.”
“My part is more like, let’s say, classical,” she told THR.com. “Interactions, acting, dialogue with the other actors. But I asked to be trained to fire guns, because I really felt like it would help me [push] the character in the direction I wanted her to be — in terms of being focused and strong.”
The latest bond movie, which is directed by Sam Mendes, is about James Bond’s, played by Daniel Craig, having his past coming back to haunt him. Marlohe believes “Skyfall” is going to be one of the best bond movies made yet.
“They have a fantastic cast and a fantastic director,” she revealed at the Cannes Film Festival when footage from “Skyfall” was being shown. “They really can expect one of the better, if not the best Bond ever,” she said of the 23rd installment. “I really think they will really enjoy it.”
Marlohe also enjoyed working with co-star Daniel Craig. “He’s a completely great human being and so funny,” she was quoted as saying. “That we had a lot of fun also… he’s always a clown.”
