Last night marked the 66th annual Tony Awards at the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan hosted by Neil Patrick Harris. Winners of “Broadway’s Biggest Night” included “Clybourne Park” for best play, “Once” for both Best Musical and Best Book of a Musical, and “Newsies” for best original score (Music and/or Lyrics) written for the theatre.

Other winners included Arthur Miller’s “Death of a Salesman” for Best revival of a play and “The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess” for best revival of a musical.

Best Performance by an actor in a leading role in a play was won by James Corden for his performance in “One Man, Two Guvnors” and best performance by an actress in a leading role in a play was won by Nina Arianda from “Venus in Fur.”

Steve Kazee from “Once” was recognized for best performance of an actor in a leading role in a musical, and Audra McDonald from “The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess” took home the top award for best performance by an actress in a leading role in a musical.

“Peter and the Starcatcher’s” Christian Borle won best performance by an actor in a featured role in a play and Judith Light from “Other Desert Cities” won for best performance by an actress in a featured role in a play.

Best performance by an actor in a featured role in a musical was won by Michael McGrath from “Nice Work if You Can Get It” and Judy Kaye also from “Nice Work if You Can Get It” won the Tony for best performance by an actress in a featured role in a musical.

Best direction of a play was won by Mike Nichols for Arthur Miller’s “Death of a Salesman” and best direction of a musical went to John Tiffany for his work with “Once.”
