“Surface by Microsoft” Video Goes Viral (Video)

surface PageMicrosoft has just introduced the newest edition to its fleet: a new tablet called Surface.

While company officials showed off two models of the new Windows tablet, they also released a new viral video. The software company released the new video June 18, introducing the new tablet computer to the online world.

“A tablet that’s a unique expression of entertainment and creativity. A tablet that works and plays the way you want. A new type of computing. Surface,” read the video description.

The video showed flashes of the new tablet mixed with exciting sounds, and proved to further amp up excitement for the new Microsoft product as it garnered more than a million views since being posted.

Along with the video, Microsoft said Monday the Surface will sport a full-sized USB port, 16:9 aspect ratio and a built-in kickstand that allows users to transition from active use to watching a movie. It will also feature a removable rubber keyboard that will act as a book cover too, according to reports.

Surface has front and rear video cameras, according to Microsoft, and boasts casing created using VaporMg, a combination of material selection and process to mold metal and deposit particles that creates a finish akin to a luxury watch.

Two models of Surface will be available with one running an ARM processor featuring Windows RT, and one with a third-generation Intel Core processor featuring Windows 8 Pro, according to Microsoft.

The retail price has yet to be announced though it was revealed the product will be sold at Microsoft Store locations in the United States and at select online Microsoft stores.
