Minnesota Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson was arrested early Saturday morning in Houston, according to multiple reports.

Peterson was arrested for allegedly resisting arrest, according to the Houston Police Department website. He remains in jail on $1,000 bond, according to the police department.

A Vikings spokesperson told The Associated Press that the team is “aware of the situation and are gathering more information.”

Authorities have yet to release details about what led to Peterson’s arrest.

But a report from Pro Football Talk says that information regarding the incident may be released soon.

An unnamed source told the football news website that the incident that resulted in the Pro Bowl running back getting arrested was caught on a surveillance camera.

Again, citing an unnamed source, the PFT report says Peterson was at a nightclub with his girlfriend and family when police officers entered the establishment and began telling clubgoers to leave.

Peterson reportedly wanted to get water before leaving the nightclub, but was told he needed to get out.

From PFT:

Some words apparently were exchanged, but Peterson eventually walked to the exit with one of the club’s bouncers.
It’s believed that one of the officers then jumped on Peterson’s back from behind and tried to take him down.

Peterson was only charged with resisting arrest, according to the police department’s website.
