Actress Anne Hathaway and her fiancé, actor and jewelry-designer Adam Shulman, are reportedly planing to exchange wedding vows sometime next year.
The 29-year-old who plays Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises told Britain’s HELLO! magazine that she has not found the time to start planning for the big day because of her work schedule, but that the couple is talking about marrying “sometime next-yearish.”
“Not this year,” she was quoted as saying. “It’s too big with two films coming out. I’ve not even decided what sort of ceremony I want.”
The news came almost two months after the star’s ex-fiancé, Italian entrepreneur Raffaello Follieri, was released from prison after he was arrested in 2008 on charges of fraud and money laundering. Follieri has publicly stated that he supports Hathaway and wishes her all the best.
The actress is due to release two films this year. Aside from Dark Knight, she also plays a prostitute, Fantine, in Les Miserables. To prepare for the role of Fantine, Hathaway cut her hair to a short crop, which she says is the scariest thing she has ever experienced as an actress.
“Who would have thought hair would have such power?” she was quoted as saying. “I have to say, of all the things I’ve done for a role – learning to jump out of windows, learning to do back flips, changing my body shape – cutting my hair was by far the scariest thing I’ve ever done.”
Hathaway and Shulman announced their engagement last fall. Hathaway said she was filming Les Mis when Shulman proposed, and that she hopes to find time soon in her busy schedule to begin planning.
