The Island Trees community came out in full force on Homecoming Day 2012. Superintendent Dr. Charles Murphy led the homecoming parade along with members of the board of education, Island Trees High School Principal Nicholas Grande and Assistant Principal Pamela Hostetter. The Island Trees High School Marching Band and Kickline followed.
The parade also included floats made by each class, members of the S.A.D.D. (Students Against Destructive Decisions) Club and Kiwanis Key Club, cheerleaders, Island Trees Cardinals football team, and ITHS alumni. The Levittown Fire Department and homecoming court nominees completed the procession.
The ITHS homecoming court included Daniel Mannlein, Tom Sinclair, T. J. O’Connell, Brittany Wilson, Marianna Ferraro and Amelia Giebel. Brittany Wilson and Tom Sinclair were crowned as 2012 Homecoming King and Queen during half-time ceremonies.
