With Shannon Carman and Jacquelyn Seskin being named Garden City High School’s 2013 valedictorian and salutatorian respectively, the village’s esteemed school district is once again graduating a pair of exemplary overachievers out of an already impressive student body. GPA-wise, both seniors hit dizzying heights (the former with a GPA of 101.16 for seven semesters with her counterpart clocking in with an equally stellar 100.98). Between the two of them, accomplishments include numerous honors tied to National Merit Scholarships, gold and silver medals in everything from the Long Island Math Fair to the National Spanish exam and athletic endeavors in badminton and volleyball. With the village’s latest valedictorian and salutatorian both entering Dartmouth in the fall, the Garden City Life wishes to extend its congratulations to them for not only leaving behind a dazzling academic trail in their wake, but undoubtedly going on to bigger and better things in their collective future.
