John Gagliano, 57, was driving the 1990 Mack cement truck east on Sunrise Highway at 7:39 a.m., police said, when he lost control, struck the median and overturned.

Gagliano, who was ejected from the truck, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s office, police said.

The truck, owned by Deer Park-based Giaquinto Masonry Inc., was impounded for a safety check, police said.
