Oyster Festival Weekend
The 30th Oyster Festival takes place Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 19 and 20 in the hamlet and waterfront of Oyster Bay. Audrey Avenue to TR Park. It is a fun family festival, with something for everyone. Tall Ships, a petting zoo, live music, delicious food, carnival rides, arts and crafts, antiques, interactive exhibits, harbor cruises, and more! The Oyster Festival is an alcohol free event. Fireworks by Grucci: The Oyster Festival will celebrate its 30 years of the annual family friendly event with Fireworks by Grucci along with a musical performance by Robbie Rosen, of American Idol fame. The festival vendors and arts and crafts vendors will be open until 7 p.m., when the fireworks will take off. Buses will be available to take visitors to parking lot destinations through 7:30 p.m.

Oyster Festival Sunday
The Oyster Festival continues on Sunday, starting at 9 a.m. Raffle Winners: the car raffle winner will be announced at the close of the festival on Sunday, Oct. 20, at around 6 p.m.
Lecture at Bailey’s
The Locust Valley Library presents an evening with Marc Wortman at Bailey Arboretum on Oct. 20 at 5 p.m. He is the author of The Millionaires’ Unit, the historic tale of a group of young Yalies who started the first US Naval Air Reserve Unit in 1916 on Peacock Point, Lattington. Boys & Girls Club Gala
The Oyster Bay-East Norwich Boys & Girls Club will hold their annual gala fundraising party at Oheka on Thursday, Oct. 24. “The galas have been held for several years at the Metropolitan in Glen Cove, and we decided it was time to do something new,” said Sharon Sliva, executive director. OBRM Annual Meeting

Ffoure Pounds Sterling Opens
Ffoure Pounds Sterling, an exhibition organized by the Oyster Bay Historical Society in partnership with the Town of Oyster Bay and other lenders opens Oct. 25 at the OBHS’s Angela Koenig Research and Collection Center. The Friends of the Locust Valley co-sponsor a concert by Alexander Wu, renowned pianist for the 2013 Grace & Oliver Britton Concert. A program of All Gershwin: A Double Life, his piano music on Oct. 27 at 2 p.m.
Ghastly Grounds
The Oyster Bay Historical Society presents Ghastly Grounds on Sunday, Oct. 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. All little vampires, witches, ghosts and zombies are invited to drop by the Earle Wightman House for face painting, skeleton scavenger hunt, and a wild pumpkin toss!
