Bombers 10U travel baseball team announces tryouts
The Garden City Bombers 10U travel baseball team recently announced tryouts for 2014 Baseball Season. The Bombers play a high level of play versus other competitive travel teams from throughout the New York and Long Island metro area. All homes games are in Garden City; while preference is given to Garden City residents, boys from surrounding communities, such as Hempstead and Roosevelt are also welcome, and this diversity supports a very good team.
The spring season includes games every weekend, and tournaments during the weekends of Memorial Day, Father’s Day, and Independence Day. The summer season, which runs until mid-August, generally includes weekend and weeknight play. There are also special games planned at the original Yankee Stadium, and on the new baseball field at Governors Island. The team also plays a fall season, and has extensive indoor training during winter months.
To be eligible, a player should be 10 years old by April 30, 2014.
