Northsiders Learn With Legos

The fourth graders at Northside went on a Lego field trip to Bricks for Kids in Syosset to complement and reinforce their study on simple machines.  The students learned about the types of simple machines, how they impact our daily lives.  Then they created models of simple machines using Legos.  Some machines they created were merry-go-rounds, cranes, and see-saws.  The kids were so excited to play with Legos and still learn about an important topic in science.
