With new sponsorships obtained, the Locust Valley Chamber of Commerce is waiving exhibition fees for Art Walk 2014, to take place in May.
This open-air art fair in the center of Locust Valley will showcase local talent. Painters, sculptors, crafts persons, photographers and print-makers wanting to show and sell their creations are invited to participate in this outdoor “art walk,” a juried exhibit and sale that draws art lovers from around Long Island to stroll through town, watch artists at work, and perhaps pick up a masterpiece. Artists can create en plein air, and there will be a “wet canvas” silent auction with a 50/50 split. The event takes place Saturday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; rain date: Saturday, May 24. 
To apply, email jpeg format images of your work with a request. Only original signed/numbered artwork by the exhibiting artists will be accepted; commercially produced or imported items are not permitted. You will be notified of acceptance within a few days.
