It’s Time for Tea

The Oyster Bay Historical Society opened its spring exhibition, It’s Time for Tea!, on April 6. It will be on view at the Koenig Center, 20 Summit St., through June 8. It features ceramics by members of the Long Island Craft Guild’s Clay Media Group: both functional and sculptural work relating to tea are for sale. Hooray Baby And Me

The Locust Valley Library hosts Play Hooray with Molly Mouse “Baby and Me” at 10 a.m. For ages 3 months to 18 months. This fun program will introduce babies to nursery rhymes, books and finger plays. LI Sound Vocal Jazz Ensemble

Recognized internationally for its “swinging rhythm section, tight vocals and smooth blend,” the Long Island Sound Vocal Jazz Ensemble (LISVJ) from LIU Post includes 16 singers, rhythm section and occasional horns. At Christ Church, 61 East Main St., Oyster Bay. Festivities begin at 8 p.m. in the Parish Hall with wine, cheese and an evening of cool jazz. Tickets are $15 at the door. Annual Egg-stravaganza

Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audobon Center, 134 Cove Rd, Oyster Bay. Session 1: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. (toddlers only); Session 2: 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. (kids 2-10); Session 3: 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. (kids 2-10). Members $5 per child, non-members $8 per child, adults $2 suggested donation. The birds are acting odd this year… our feathered friends are laying eggs in all the wrong places. Create your own basket, visit some egg-laying friends, and collect these strange eggs—you take home whatever is inside. Registration required: call 516-922-3200.

Just be… Yoga at the Library

Tuesdays through May 20 from 7 to 8 p.m. Join the owner of Just Be…Yoga Studio, Kim DeSantis, as she brings her practice of yoga to the Bayville Free Library. Bring a mat or towel and yoga blocks or straps if you have them. Beginners welcome. Attendance is limited to 18 people, $20/patron. Registration is required for each session. Cuckoo Bird

Join A Time for Kids for preschool fun including singing, dancing, storytelling and a cuckoo bird craft.(18 months to 5 years with adult). Harbor and Beach Cleanup

The Friends of the Bay, Town of Oyster Bay and the North Oyster Bay Baymen Association are looking for volunteers to help in the annual harbor and beach cleanup on April 26.  The event is rain or shine, starting at 8 a.m. at Theodore Roosevelt Beach. The Oyster Bay-East Norwich Chamber of Commerce holds its annual Spring Splendor on April 28 at 7 p.m. at Dodds & Eder Home at 221 South Street. Tickets are $75 per person lets you enjoy the gardens of Dodds & Eder and tastings from top local restaurants at their fundraiser for the spring flowers and baskets and decorations in town. Food Pantry

The North Shore Assembly of God, 84 Orchard St., Oyster Bay is operating a new food pantry for the community. It is meant to supplement the growing needs of the community. It is open on Tuesdays during their prayer times: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. If you are in need of their service, please call Pastor Diane at 516-922-2547 and make an appointment to complete their screening process.
