Lavine & Schaffer At Signing

Assemblyman Charles Lavine (D-Glen Cove) congratulates Great Neck resident and author Lois Schaffer on her book “The Unthinkable” during a recent book signing and reading at the Barnes and Noble in Manhasset. The book is about the life and tragic death of her daughter Susan at the hands of seventeen year old burglars who shot her multiple times and the implications of illegal firearms and gun violence. Schaffer’s book, a tribute to her daughter, is also a plea for real legislative and cultural reform.
