The Sewanhaka High School musical theater program recently performed the Tony Award winning show, In The Heights. The show was directed by Mrs. Chakira Doherty and starred Joey Mazzeo as Usnavi, a bodega worker in Washington Heights searching for his identity as an American citizen. The musical was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2009.
