Maggie Speck, a senior at Sacred Heart Academy and Floral Park resident, has won the grand award for Grades 9-12 in AAA New York’s 2014 Poster & Video Contest. Speck’s poster “Don’t Become Another Headline,” illustrates the dangers of texting while driving.
Speck and her art teacher Kristin Mariano have been invited to attend the awards luncheon on June 5, where she will receive her award and a $1,000 prize.
