A 74-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man were found dead of gunshot wounds in their South Farmingdale home on Tuesday evening, Nassau County police said.

Officers responding to a call to check on the welfare of the residents at their Lambert Avenue home found the bodies off Ann and Barry Kaplan in a bedroom at 8:52 p.m., police said.

Both were taken to the Nassau County Medical Examiner’s office. T

Homicide Squad detectives are continuing the investigation.
