The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation will be considering written comments from the public about proposed remediation plans for the Unisys Corporation Superfund Site at the intersection of Lakeville Rd. and Marcus Blvd. in Lake Success through July 14.
The site is listed as a Class “2” site in the State Registry of Inactive Hazardous Waste Sites (list of State Superfund sites). A Class 2 site represents a significant threat to public health or the environment; action is required.
Girish Desai, a project manager with the DEC, will be accepting written comments via email at gvdesai@gw.dec.state.ny.us up to July 14.
