Musicians aren’t the only artists who create rhythm. Visual artists often use repeated shapes, lines, colors, or other elements to organize and create movement and interest within their compositions. Explore examples of how rhythm and repetition may be found in the natural and man-made worlds as well as created in abstract work.

All are invited to join docent Dorothy Cappadona, Heckscher Museum docent, for this art lecture and presentation based on the Heckscher Museum exhibit, Rhythm and Repetition in 20th Century Art, at 2 p.m. in the Community Room of the Main Great Neck Public Library at 159 Bayview Ave.
