A 67-year-old man drowned in the backyard pool outside of his Dix Hills home on Monday night—the second such case in the same town in about a week.
Suffolk County police officers responded to a 911 call of a man at the bottom of the deep end of an inground pool on Ibsen Court at 7:15 p.m., authorities said.
The victim was identified as Byungyun Lee, who was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead.
The incident came a week after a woman drowned in a Dix Hills pool.
