Water Blues, Green Solutions is an interactive documentary project designed to promote awareness of the role that green infrastructure can play in creating a sustainable water future. Long Island organizations the North Shore Land Alliance, Citizens Campaign for the Environment, Water for Long Island and the CAC co-present an awareness raising event about community water quality and preservation on Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 7:30 p.m. at Huntington’s Cinema Arts Centre located on 423 Park Ave.
Hosted by Urban Revitalization Strategist Majora Carter, Water Blues Green Solutions tells stories from across the country of communities that are adopting new ways of thinking about how to protect, restore, and preserve our rivers and sources of drinking water. A brief Q&A following the film will feature local experts on green infrastructure and land protection and their roles in preserving Long Island’s waters.
