The Jackson Five had it. So did New Edition and the Backstreet Boys.
By “it,” we’re talking style. We’re talking groove. We’re talking looks, killer dance moves, the teeny-bop jazz and yes, attitude.
Enter Mindless Behavior—EJ, Roc Royal, lil Ray Ray and Princeton (sorry gals, former singer Prodigy split off on his own)—four mega-super-duper stars trapped inside teenage bodies. These boys can dance, these boys can sing, and yes, these boys can groove!
They’re also coming to The Space at Westbury on Sunday, Aug. 17 for the first-ever Back To School Day Party for LI teenagers!! Doors open at noon, and this special shindig gets the part-ay started at 1 p.m.—with an extra-special meet-and-greet with the boyz that day!! Somebody grab me a cuppa water, cause I’mma about to faint!
Boy bands as successful as this just don’t arise out of thin air; it takes know-how, planning and strategy to create a concept as great as Mindless Behavior. Conjunction Entertainment Inc. CEO Walter Millsap—music producer, musical director, songwriter, arranger, engineer and all-around music biz dealmaker—masterminded the group, and is not only responsible for their addictive cuteness but also undoubtedly their fashion sense (These boys can dress!).
Mindless Behavior’s record #1 Girl, released in 2011, debuted at number seven on the U.S. Billboard 200 (!!) and these lil heartthrobs have been dropping hit after hit since then. The group’s video for that album’s first single, “My Girl” has more than 37 million views on YouTube. Yes, 37 million. The video for its follow-up, “Mrs. Right,” currently has more than 45 million and features cameos by Mike Epps, Diggy Simmons and LI’s own LL Cool J.
Love LL as a preppy schoolteacher BTW 😉
Mindless Behavior’s third single, “Girls Talkin’ Bout” has nearly 20 million YouTube views.
The group has opened for Backstreet Boys and yup, you guessed it, Justin Bieber (known in some circles as “The Beebs” or The Biebler”). You go, boys!
Now some might ask: “What does Mindless Behavior mean, anyway? Is that really the best name for a group? I mean these kids have got to have at least a little bit of brains on those cute lil shoulders, don’t they!?”
“Anybody can be mindless,” explains lil Ray Ray on the group’s official site mindlessbehavior.com. “It doesn’t matter if you’re two-years-old or eighty-two-years-old. Be yourself. Love who you are and love what you do, no matter what it is. That makes you mindless.”
Trust us, you don’t want to miss this chance to bop-bop boppity-bop with the boyz!
